London trio The Drink were on the farm last year. 2014’s Company, a compilation of their early EPs, was met with high praise from The Guardian, BBC Radio 6 and NME. Their proper debut studio album is titled Capital, which will be out November 13 via Melodic. (Pre-orders are up.) Singer/guitarist Dearbhla Minogue, bassist David Stewart and drummer Daniel Fordham are keeping things fairly minimal, with the addition this time of some of our (becoming almost legendary..?) piano and a smattering of simple organ sounds. Its lo fi math pop and indie without ever becoming pretentious. But that sounds pretentious doesn’t it? Its probably best you just check them out yourselves….
★★★★ - Infectious, intricate guitar pop" - The Guardian "8/10 - Enthralling guitar and dream-like poetics" - UNCUT "★★★★★ - Beautifully creative" - NARC. Magazine "★★★★ - Incredibly infectious songs" - The Skinny "An entrancing, intriguing record" - Clash
